GALLERY HAPPENINGS IN AUGUST

“ALCHEMY OF THE ABSTRACT”, a juried show which opens on Friday, August 1, has always been a favorite event at Northwind Arts Center.The juror this year is Gunnar Nordstrom, the owner of the Gunnar Nordstrom Gallery in Kirkland. This gallery specializes in whimsical expressionist work by regional and nationally known artists. As an art dealer for 28 years, he has been dedicated to helping clients realize and meet their art-collecting goals, while at the same time, encouraging and helping shape young, emerging artist’s careers.

Best in Show - This year’s Best in Show award winner is “Snake Mountain”, an abstract collage by Harold Nelson.

Merit Award Winners - In addition, four other works received Merit Awards. They include:
